Geez. You have got to be kidding me. As a Jew, I find this really offensive.
You are so arrogant to think that people are going to confused by any misinformation about mental illness that psycho donuts is going to put out there in society. Do you really think that people are so stupid?
To use a nazi flag next to that donut makes you worse than anyone you are fighting against. You have become a fanatic whose own ego has grown with each fight, protest, and lame blogpost; and that ego has finally outgrown your conscience.
The above post has nothing to do with being Jewish. Your being offended at my post because you are Jewish makes no sense whatsoever. I could have chosen any flag. I could have chosen the flag of Israel or the United States or Canada. The point is no flag is just a piece of cloth. It is much more than that. Similarly, a Massive Head Trauma donut, unlike say a glazed donut from Dunkin Donuts, is not just a donut. It is a donut, but it is more than that. The twisted smile, the crossed eyes, the bullet wound with jelly leaking out of it says something about people who have experienced a head wound, like the thousands of troops from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have. That donut is offensive, in a way that a regular glazed donuts can’t be.
It’s unfortunate that your education did not include a course in logic. As far as the rest of your comment goes, I guess when you cannot assail logic, you have to resort to ad hominem attacks.
It’s ironic the name you chose directly contradicts your position on the issue. One would think freedom of speech and freedom of expression would be rights you support. To compare a national symbol like a flag to a decorated donut is absurd. The donut says nothing to me about injured soldiers or head trauma. It is merely an attempt to do something unique to sell a product. In my opinion I don’t think the owners of the donut shop are being malicious or degrading to mental patients. It is ridiculous how easily people get offended these days. You certainly have the right to your opinion and you can be offended(although I think it is ridiculous), but that doesn’t give you the right to impose your beliefs on others. I can’t find anywhere in the Constitution or Bill of Rights language that protects everyone from being offended.
How does it contradict anything? I believe that the owners of Psycho Donuts have the right to run their business the way they are running it, however, I have the right to try and persuade them to change.
You are right the Constitution doesn’t give us the right to be offended by everything, so whyinell are you offended at my post? If you don’t like what I have to say, go read someone else’s blog.
As far as the rest of your comment is concerned, you make statements but don’t back them up. I will not bother responding to unsupported statements.
Freedomforall, you think the author of this blog’s opinion is ridiculous? Reminds me of something. A man approached a woman at another rally and said to her, “Old woman, do you suppose people care what you say?” “Why,” continued he, “I don’t care any more for your talk than I do for the bite of a flea.” “Perhaps not,” she responded, “but, the Lord willing, I’ll keep you scratching.” The woman was Sojourner Truth, the famous abolitionist. The man- I doubt you would find his name recorded anywhere in history. The name of the game is persistence.

Very disappointing comment, Ryan.
